The cottages have been thoughtfully renovated to an exceptionally high standard and include all mod cons including flat screen TVs in all bedrooms, smart TVs in sitting rooms, dishwashers, USB charging points, electric car charging points, secure bicycle storage and free Wi-Fi, plus the obligatory comfy sofas.

The cottages have traditional stone floors in living areas, fully carpeted bedrooms, fully tiled modern bathrooms with power showers and anti mist mirrors. Traditional exposed beams with vaulted ceilings throughout and beautiful oak latch doors, cosy wood burners, brand new fitted kitchens with Bosch appliances and Swan fridge freezers all help blend the traditional character with modern home comforts. The main bedrooms have quality king size beds with Hypnos mattresses, fitted wardrobes and quality oak furnishings, 2nd bedrooms have high quality zip and link beds making either King size beds or flexible 2’6’’ft twins ideal for both adults and children, again with fitted wardrobes.

All the cottages are just on one single level, ideal for those who find stairs difficult. The cottages are independent of each other but can be booked together for larger family/ friend groups however we don't accept large groups of all the same sex. We welcome dogs in 4 of our cottages. Each of the cottages has its own outdoor space with garden and patio area, most taking in those breathtaking views with just the tranquil sound of birds and the River Camel gurgling in the distance.

All cottages at Penrose Burden ( NOT Shipshape) have an outside socket suitable to use as an electric car charging point, this is for guests use only and there is a surcharge of £50 per week.There is also secure bicycle storage so why not bring your bikes with you.

All major supermarkets deliver to the cottages so why not order your supplies in advance.

As always with any of the accommodation here the Linney is no exception - clean, comfortable and cozy with all the trappings of home deep in the North Cornish countryside. There genuinely is nothing better and when we came here 2 years ago for the first time we stopped looking! This is the epitome of a chill-out zone. We tend to return as often as we can.

The cottage has been an oasis of calm and relaxation, wonderfully comfortable and clean. Charlie has been glued to the log burner after loving the walks along the Camel Trail and the beach. Thank you for such a great base in which to relax.

Your Cornish seaside adventure awaits you at this perfectly positioned cottage, a short walk from the town centre of Padstow with its abundance of cafe's, pubs, restaurants and galleries to choose from! 

Hop on the passenger ferry to Rock and stroll along to Daymer at low tide or sit and build sand castles and enjoy watching the boats sail by.  This lovingly renovated family home will not only be a great base for your holiday, it also provides a warm and cosy home from home atmosphere with stylish furnishings and an electric log burner effect fire.  It also boasts outdoor furniture and a BBQ to enable you to dine al fresco and you can wake up to glimpses of boats on the estuary and have a coffee in the south facing front courtyard.

The Camel Trail is just minutes from your front door and can be enjoyed on foot or on one of the bikes available to rent in town. The charming harbour is a very short walk away where you can hop aboard the sea life safaris to enjoy a trip out to view the coastline and marine life, take in a fast fun fuelled speedboat ride or simply explore the souvenir shops.  If dining out is a family favourite pastime then you really are in good hands, as Padstow offers some of the best restaurants in Cornwall including Paul Ainsworth's No 6, Rojanos, Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant and Bistro or choose the option of fish and chips on the quay in true Cornish style.
